[Company Principles]
The Asahi Industries Group has renewed its company principles on June 1, 2011. Its activities have been enhanced through not only business operations but also a wide range of CSR and environmental initiatives. The Group will be further committed to contribution to society and the environment.

The Group has faced significant changes in the economic and business environments against the backdrops of the increasing globalization of steel business particularly in Asia, restructuring in the electric furnace steel industry and deteriorating agricultural environment caused by global warming. Under these circumstances, the Group announced "Medium-Term Business Plan" on February 4, 2011. Shortly after the announcement, the massive earthquake struck northeast Japan and has badly affected the industries relating to the Group's operations. The Group is, in the face of adversity, aiming to become a business group with further advanced technology and striving to achieve the medium-term business plan.

At the same time, as a seed company fully responsible for food safety and security, we will be committed to the development of delicious and disease resistant vegetable varieties. It is our medium-term goal to become a player in the global market, making use of our technical strengths.
